The 2020 GCHERA World Agriculture Prize Award Ceremony will take place in Nanjing China, at the Nanjing Agricultural University, on December 1st at 9:00 am.

Everyone is invited to this event which will take place at 1:00 GMT (UTC) time.

Gchera Announces 2020 Laureates Of The Prestigious World Agriculture Prize

GCHERA (Global Confederation of Higher Education Associations for Agricultural and Life Sciences) is pleased to announce the 2020 Laureates of the World Agriculture PrizeProfessor ZHANG Fusuo of China Agricultural University and Distinguished Professor Pamela Ronald of the University of California-Davis, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in agriculture and life science education and scientific research.

The two laureates will each be conferred the prize via an award ceremony on 1 December, 2020 transmitted virtually from Nanjing Agricultural University, the People’s Republic of China.  Each prize of 100,000 USD is generously sponsored by the Education Development Foundation of Nanjing Agricultural University and Da Bei Nong Group. The ceremony will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Nanjing, China (+8 GMT), December 1 and at 5:00 p.m. (-8 GMT) in Davis, California on November 30th.

The Transforming Higher Education (THE) project held a webinar on June 2 on “Experiential Learning in Agriculture Education” with its partners the American University of Beirut, GCHERA, with support from Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institute (APAARI).  We were happy to have over 250 participants from around the world.
